PROJECTS and ACHIEVEMENTS
During my career I have led a number of projects in my various roles, for a variety of companies including Hilton, Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts, Kempinski, Global Hotel Alliance and Minor Hotel Group. Most projects included the OPERA Central System including OPERA PMS integration, IDeaS Revenue Management deployment, GDS Integration and contracting, New Websites with full re-designs and new integrated Internet booking engines, Sales Force Automation, Customer Relationship Management and the initation of new Voice Reservation call centres for 4 or 5 star luxury hotel companies.
OPERA Central Systems Projects
Integration of the OPERA Property Management systems with the OPERA Central Information System.
In 2005 Kempinski Hotels and Resorts embarked on a Technology upgrade to ensure they sustained equivalent technology platforms to compete with any of the mega brands and to support its rapidly growing hotel portfolio. To this end i was appointed initially as a consultant to support the Kempinski team to successfully activate the OPERA central system and was then offered the position of VP of Revenue Management and I worked with Kempinski for 4.5 years further developing their Central Distribution system including project managing a new www.kempinski.com Website.
Global Hotel Alliance (www.gha.com)
The worlds largest and most successful Hotel Alliance
In 2003 I began work with a number of partner hotel chains with a view to create a new Global hotel Alliance. This alliance was successfully launched in April 2004 at ITB in Berlin. Under the leadership of Christopher Hartley it has grown from strength to strength. The GHA provides small to medium hotel chains the ability to collaborate on Distribution, Sales Offices, Marketing opportunities, Loyalty programmes and Frequent Flyer programs, whilst maintaining their own Brand identity, but they have the ability to provide their brand customer base with a global network of both business, airport and resort hotels of similar star rating and quality.
Minor Hotel Group
During my tenure with Minor Hotel Group I supported the Minor team in the completion of the OPERA Central Systems integration, updates to the Website and Internet booking Engine, Initiated and setup the Central Reservations Offices, Activated Sales Force Automation for the Sales team, Activated the Customer Relationship Management and supported the Hotel Brands with their integration and performance as a member of Global Hotel Alliance.
